Institutional money does not move in silence. Individually, each signal can be noise. Together, when they converge on the same ticker at the same time, they form a high-confidence picture that most retail traders never see.

Wall Street has always had access to this data. Prime brokerage desks, quantitative hedge funds, and proprietary trading firms spend millions of dollars building systems to aggregate and score these signals. Whale Flow Hunter was built to close that gap. We aggregate the same data sources, apply confluence scoring, and deliver the alerts directly to retail traders in real time via Discord.

How We Identify Whale Trades

Whale Flow Hunter ingests data from four independent sources around the clock. Each data stream is filtered, scored, and cross-referenced before an alert is issued. Here is what goes into every signal we surface.

• Options Flow — We scan for unusual volume, large block sweeps, and aggressive premium on the call or put side. When an institution takes an oversized position in near-term contracts, it often precedes a move.
• Dark Pool Prints — Off-exchange trades represent roughly 40% of all U.S. equity volume. We monitor reported dark pool transactions for large block accumulation at specific price levels, which often signals institutional positioning ahead of catalysts.
• SEC Form 4 Insider Buys — Corporate insiders legally disclose their open-market purchases within two business days. We parse every filing daily, filtering for cluster buys where multiple executives are buying simultaneously.
• Congressional Trade Disclosures — Members of Congress disclose stock trades under the STOCK Act. With access to committee briefings and advance policy knowledge, their disclosed activity is a notable signal we track in real time.
• Confluence Scoring — When two or more of these signals align on the same ticker within a short window, our system scores the setup and delivers a high-priority alert directly to our Discord community.
